PHILOSOPHY

Time is not a resource.
It is a material.

Founded in 1987 by master watchmaker Aleksei Sorokin, SOVA began as a conviction: that time itself deserved to be shaped with the same reverence as the rarest metals. In a Geneva atelier no larger than a living room, Sorokin assembled his first movement — 247 components, each finished by hand under a single desk lamp.

Today, SOVA remains independent. Every movement is conceived, developed, and assembled in-house. We produce fewer than 800 timepieces per year — not as a marketing constraint, but as a natural consequence of our standards. Each watch passes through the hands of a single watchmaker from first gear train to final timing adjustment. The name on the dial is earned, never applied.
